Description

The owner of this Badge, already in possession of the Lab’O Junior Facilitator Badge,  partecipated to Lab’O activities and to the parallel training, designing, documenting, assessing actions, that accompany them. Besides, he/she sustained one or more junior colleagues, in a tutor/mentor role. His/her tasks were: to facilitate groups, design and assess activities and offer tutorship to younger colleagues, to guarantee reflexivity and critical thinking (recursive process, peer-to-peer tutoring). More specifically, the owner of this badge: actively participated to recruitment/selection of new attendants, made active interventions and facilitated the group in training,carried on joint facilitation activities in the workshops organized during the year,prepared and guided diverse activities of guidance and life design during training and supervision meetings, passed the final evaluation of acquired competences, through an interview. Activities develop around 12 months (October-September), to reach a total amount of 120 hours.

Badge Criteria

The Lab’O Senior Facilitator Badge is assigned to students enrolled in any master level course of Milano Bicocca University, as well as teachers and workers internal or external to the university who already obtained the Lab’O Junior Facilitator Badge. Besides what was already developed by participation to the Lab’O Junior Facilitator activities, required pre-requisite competences were: a special penchant for self-entrepreneurship, innovation, autonomy, responsibility. Selection of potential Senior Facilitators is made through interviews during the month of September. Completion of 120 hours and final evaluation (interview) entitle participants to receive the Badge. The number of admitted participants is maximum 20. The Badge is propaedeutic to the Lab’O Executive Badge. Note: in the academic year 2016/17, it will be possible to access selections for Lab’O Senior Facilitators only for candidates who have been carrying on Lab’O activities for as many hours as those required to obtain the Lab’O Junior Facilitator Badge and who have passed final evaluation.

Skills

The owner of this Badge is already in possession of the Lab’O Junior Facilitator Badge, consequently has developed the competences related to it. The owner of this Badge also showed the possess and capacity to use the following SKILLS: design skills; basic counselling and tutorship skills; group facilitation skills; and reinforced the following SOFT SKILLS: developed autonomy in group facilitation; skills in taking responsibility; skills in critical vision; skills in reflexivity; skills in creativity; teamwork; and showed to possess the following KNOWLEDGE: knowledge of processes in guidance and life design, at school, university and workplace; knowledge of theories and practices of education in group settings; knowledge of aspects related to communication.
